Week 10 – Mobile Devices…WAP

Wireless Application Protocol is a standard for accessing information over a mobile device. We can also consider it as a web browser for mobile devices which make use of this protocol.

This specific protocol enables interoperability between devices using the same protocol and also between software which uses different connectivity technologies.  Mobile devices now a days have almost all functionality of the actual Internet functionalities but these are ‘cut down versions’ just for the sake of capacity and/or connection.
